August 20, 2013: Such a different season from last year - we were pleased to mostly avoid spring frosts, survive the heavy rains through the spring, growth through sweltering heat and unexpected cold this summer, and now to be harvesting a beautiful crop of fruit.

This week, we are finishing Redhaven and starting Harrow Fair peaches. We are done our second pick of Sunrise apples, and have harvested our first pear, Harrow Gold. We also have purple and red plums, field tomatoes (including 5 flavours of snacking tomatoes), peppers (sweet green, Jalapeno and - new this year - sweet lunchbox peppers), zucchini, eggplants, beans, and culinary herbs. And of course, fresh cuts of gorgeous gladioli daily in many colours..
